Has there ever been a more hated person than bush*
Amazing that the pukes put this POS up after Clinton. But then again the same "pukes" tried every trick in the books to discredit Clinton to drive people to hate him and in spite of them he is still loved through out the world... Saying this knowing full well no one can satisfy every one all the time.

8. I definitely despise Cheney more than Bush...
Bush is an asshole and a troglodyte, Cheney is a truly twisted, evil organism.

3. I was going to say Clinton.
I believe part of the reason we see so many w stickers on cars even now is due to the righties deep-seated hatred of Clinton and the Left in this country. I have to wonder sometimes what would happen if we were actually successful in removing the chimp from office and turning him over to the Hague. I could see blood in the streets.

13. Thing is, they don't really hate Clinton or the left --
they hate the idea of Clinton - a successful democrat - and they don't know what the 'left' means. They are willing fascists who want to follow a leader who will take care of them. They want simple, and permanent, answers to complex questions because they are intellectually lazy and are afraid of where following real lines of reasoning might take them.

And, yes, they will take to the streets to defend their right to ignorance.

4. I really don't know about US history
but not in my lifetime have I ever seen any president so despised by so many. Even Nixon. We were TIRED of Nixon but we didn't hate him. It seems there is little middle ground. He is hated or adored.

I have never heard anyone who dislikes him stick to politics: it is always made personal. This guy just strikes a wrong chord in a whole lot of folks.

Now I don't think we can yet compare the hatred to the really, really bad guys out there: Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, etc.

Although I think I ought to at least step into a flame suit because I am well aware there are folks here who absolutely WOULD put him in that category. I am not quite there, yet. And I hope he isn't allowed to get that far.

19. Sad, but now I can relate to how people felt about Hitler...
I can't believe it happened so fast, but I can relate to the deep, deep, feelings people must have felt (and still feel) when a Hitler or a Stalin controlled their countries. Bush hasn't "accomplished" what some of the other hated men before him have, yet. And the Right's sophisticated public relations machine will continue to fool many in this country.

But, the Bush administration is truly radical and relentlessly malicious and dishonest. They have put things in motion that will, I feel in time, have much more deadly and harmful effects to our world than what anyone has done before them. I already know I can never forgive them.

11. Americans will be the bad guys in movies
for a long time to come, thanks to W.

Watching Indianna Jones the other night with a German friend, she observed that Germans are always the bad guys in American films.

After Bush, that's gonna change. We'll be hanging our heads then, even though we never elected him.

18. Abraham Lincoln
He was despised by Southerners, and there are still people in the South who hate him. He was also hated by Southern sympathizers and those who hated the idea of freeing the slaves.

Having said that, times were much different then. The POS was not an integral part of peoples lives, and was rarely in the thoughts of most people. The federal government just did not play as large a role in day to day living then. It is hard to contrast the intensity of the hatreds then to now.

Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 11:49 AM by tx_dem41
...don't feel like you have to fit in, and by all means do NOT get consumed by hatred. Its destructive to YOU and its ultimately destructive to your personal political goals.

If you see something you think is wrong or goes against your ideals do not hesitate to speak up. If you see hypocrisy, speak up! This isn't a popularity contest.

Its nice to meet you by the way. Welcome to DU!
