Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 10:43 AM by DubyasWorld
...first, on "good morning american", implying that the chinese economy was very efficient because the totalitarian leaders tells its people we'll let you make all the money you want, but you leave the government to us.

...then, on cnn, a story on how efficient the totalitarian leaders of cuba are when it comes to forced evacuation in the face of hurricanes.

so you get the feeling that our democracy is kinda bothesome when it's comes to a booming economy or public safety!

or maybe i'm just sleepy.
:boring:

2. The idol-worshiping of China's dictators has scared me
It just makes me think, "It that what you want here? A totalitarian dictatorship that can do anything?"

3. Double-edged meesage. It also clears Bush, because
he can say that in a free society, it's harder to evacuate, blablabla.

So you have to decide, do you want a good economy and safety, or do you want a free society? Freedom is on the march... right outa here.

4. reminds me of the Japan worship of the 1980s
back when they were buying up NY landmarks and running our car companies out of business ... we couldn't get enough "Japanese style management" crapola.

I don't think anyone practices that stuff anymore ... now that the Japanses have been in a decade long recession.

7. OK, points, but don't knock it when Americans get TV about foreign lands!
It's rare, y'know.
