McCain on MSNBC just
chuckled and said regarding Katrina: "At least any Arabian horses didn't die."

Okay, I get it. But kind of tacky, I thought. Not something to chuckle about.

9. Yep. He's not the first one to say it either.
I can't remember exactly where I read/heard it but someone said it after his background was revealed.

3. Did you ever
say something stupid at a party and you just couldn't shut up and you kept digging it in deeper and deeper?

I think this is what is happening to them. I've even noticed the RW blogs are breathless with hysteria over really silly stuff.

10. Well, he ignored Katrina, too, as seen by those birthday cake pics w/ *
Why wasn't he pushing Junior to return to DC and take care of business? Because he didn't care about those people along the Gulf Coast, either.

19. He actually said something pretty good yesterday
On CBS Evening News. He said if they want to rebuild the Gulf Coast, throw out the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. It's a bad plan with no cost controls, etc.

They asked "Change it?". He said No, throw it out.

21. In the first place some probably did die; in the second Brownie
is a throw-away to save Bush and Chernoff. It is disgusting. McCain may be a war hero ( and I certainly agree that he is), but he has sold his soul to the devil once too many. And many people and animals did die in New Orleans so that pathetic joke is not funny.

35. McCain was NO war hero
That is the image he is trying to market. There are reports, however, that while he was a POW, he traded military secrets for medical treatment.

24. I liked it when McCain said he would hire someone with experience
to be in charge of the rebuilding, someone like Rudy G., C. Powell, Jack Welch, etc.to coordinate federal, state, and local gov't. That way someone would be accountable for the vast amount of money needed for the rebuilding. Then Tweety asked McCain if he knew that cheney was against this idea and McCain acted like he didn't know cheney said that. Yea, right!!!

26. I'll never get that photo of McCain hugging the chimp's tummy,
sweat pouring off both of them at some chimp stump speech last year. I wish I could forget it, but it's now and will always be a reminder of this duplictous, opportunistic, unscrupulous new kind of moderate republican't called John McCain. New kind of reublican't my ass. And his sense of humor stinks as well. He's one of them for sure.

31. The "joke"
refers to the fact that Brown, the former FEMA chief, was unqualified for his position and had no training in emergency management. His highest position was the head of some Arabian horse association.
