It's only available on PPV -- 100% of the proceeds go to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

It's got a fantastic line-up including many displaced musicians.

I recognize the voice but not the face.

The Music so far is purely magical.

18. Thanks!
I was thinking maybe he was a Neville Brother. Despite differences in clothing, I noticed a number of men wearing that same cap.

That explains how I recognized the voice. :)

...a baseball cap emblazoned with one word:

EVACUEE

8. Bette Midler....
...spoke and said to the repukes, "Go Fuck Yourselves." Then she said * had been a fan, back in the 70's when he came to see one of her concerts. She said he got the tickets from his COKE DEALER! Some people booed but the croud went wild.

9. My girl!
Love Bette...she is so into the cause. The New York Times made fun of her in its gossip column today, because she was so upset about New Orleans. Can you tell me what song she did?

21. One of my favorites
It's by Randy Newman...and she does it in "Beaches"...but it comes up quite often on her concert tour.

13. Depending on your cable system, you may be able to catch it
again in 35 minutes. :)

Of course, that assumes you can stay up all night. :bounce:

I don't recall hearing or seeing Stevie Nicks at all. She may have been at the Radio City Music Hall concent held simultaneously with the Madison Square Garden concert, which was the only one aired.

17. great show! . . . loved almost every minute . . .
although I still don't understand what people see in Jimmy Buffet . . . must be me . . .

highlight for me was Simon & Garfunkel doing "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" with Aaron Neville . . . also loved the Dixie Cups doing "Iko Iko" with Irma Thomas and Cyndi Lauper . . . the whole show kicked some serious New Orleans butt! . . . :)
