Cafferty's Question of the Day from The Situation Room
Partial Transcript:

CAFFERTY: Busy place, huh, Wolf? President Bush has named his Homeland Security adviser, Francis Townsend, to investigate what went wrong with the governments response to Hurricane Katrina. I guess they think everybody is going to say, gee, that's a great idea. The question we're asking, is the presidents Homeland Security adviser the right choice to investigate Hurricane Katrina. You can't even say this stuff with a straight face.

Theresa in Petal, Mississippi. Bush appointing his Homeland Security adviser to investigate her own departments bungled response to Katrina would be shocking, if it wasn't so tragically typical of this administration. It's like O.J. Simpson searching for the real killer, when all he had to do was look in the mirror. Just how dumb do they think we are?

(snip)

Terry in Nebraska writes, what's not fair about investigating oneself. Congress votes on whether to give themselves pay raises. If the public continues to buy hook, line and bobber whatever this president tells them, then they deserve what they get.

And finally Dave in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Yeah, she's fine, and when there's an impropriety on my tax return, just tell the IRS I'll look into it and get back to you.

2. Wolf hates not being the hero.
He came to power in the first unnecessary Gulf War, didn't he?

3. I like what Cafferty is saying , but he's a whore;
His original purpose was to be a Limbaugh-lite or an O'Riley, on the CNN morning show....it didn't work . Now he's found that telling the truth instead of carrying water for the Repubs gets better raitings....If this trend passes in time so will he, I have more respect for Lou Dobbs who has told the truth from the beginning.

7. Whatever.....I would rather them all start telling the truth and watch
all the ratings go up. In the past he has rubbed me the wrong way, but I really think that he's been great the past few weeks. No doubt he has had the harshest words on daytime TV.

9. agreed, I don't wish to discount his message;
I think that CNN is using him as a "Trial balloon" and it is working. But I can't view him as any type of progressive spokes-person.

15. Me neither...but right now, Anyone who assists in speaking truth to
power, anyone who spreads the word, anyone who provides an outlet for the anger of the American people is worth Not Knocking for a little while.

8. Dobbs Carries Judith Miller's Water
Every night he's making her look like a martyr...some vestigal virgin for freedom of the press. :puke:

Doobs only cares for his Wall Street elite buddies...and some here confuse his "compassionism" or taking a shot at this regime as being something it isn't. He is there to shill for his beloved Wall Street and its New York upper east side corporate buddies.

10. I figured I'd get slammed on the Dobbs thing;
But he does carry weight as a Repub who doesn't agree with the neocon agenda.

12. Had To Bring It Up...
No real slam...just it iritates the hell out of me when he does that. This dude isn't clueless to her connections within the neo-con world, yet he still idolizes her. Now do ya think he'll be her champion if her name is included an indictment?

He's fun to watch when he's bashing this regime...cause he definitely doesn't agree with its defecit spending. It's been interesting to see him go from cheerleader to opponent...but you know that when the light goes off, he's off with his big money buddies laughing it up over cocktails.

14. But the thread isn't About Dobbs...it isn't even about Cafferty.
So excuse me...this is about the Question and the Response.

Did you see me applauding Cafferty? Or mention Dobbs?
