On Cindy Sheehan being escorted away

Out front I want to say yes totally fucked up to shut it all down and completely violate the 1st amendment.

After seeing the video I just noticed this one if there is just one interesting thing worth noting...they didn't try to get Cindy untill AFTER she finished her speech.

If you look closely you can see cops lurking but they don't make their move until Cindy is clearly finished speaking.

Now once again before any of you reactionaries jump down my throat I AM NOT DEFENDING THE ACTIONS OF THE CITY OR THE POLICE I am just saying I can't get it out of my head that for whatever reasons they didn't do a thing until she was finished...

A possible yet I wll admit not factually based notion is that maybe these cops were not liking the idea of arresting a mother who lost her son and were pissed about it....seriously I know it's easy to hate the NYPD but from my experience in NYC recently most of them are NOT Bush fans.

I just can't believe that every cop there was rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of arresting Cindy Sheehan

If there's anybody's head to hunt for in this matter I'd go above the NYPD go straight to the mayor, go to the governor, contact Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer THOSE are the people who should be answering for this atrocity. I just don't like how even Malloy is portraying this story as if the NYPD was just sitting around going "hey let's go arrest that one gold star mother woman" I refuse to believe that the order had to come from somewhere up top hell even a bastard high ranking NYPD official may have made the call I don't know, but the point is I support the notion of going after those at the top as opposed to focusing all our energies on the cops themselves.

2. Yea well the truth is that sucks and frankly if I was the cop

who had to do the escorting I'd have said "look Cindy I personally love what you're doing but x official is ordering us to remove you and the rest of the people here. There's nothing I can do I do not have the authority to say no, do me and the rest of the boys here a favor and file a grevience with the city on this matter, if we disobey this order we lose our jobs or become demoted pure and simple and it sucks, so please like I said keep fighting let us just escort you out of here and then afterwards tell your group to demand accountability from city officials."

3. There will come a point when the police will stop obeying.

They know what the deal is, they're public employees. They base their careers on a heirarchy and following orders. When the stop, we've won.
And they will stop this type of crap. And btw, screw Bloomberg!
