Finally,I get to introduce myself!!!!! |
|
Hi,I'm Polethebear.I have been lurking here off and on for almost a year.Went away for awhile after the election because frankly I just needed too. Um,don't really know what to say other than I'm from Alabama ,I belive in god and I'm a democrat. Boy am I screwed up or what???!!???!!
Anyway,some quick facts about me
-Was once a republican,I grew up in the age of reagan and anybody who was that gung-ho on milltary and an almost "action-hero" like thought process(unlike shrub who doesn't think) was cool to me. I still like ronnie for the most part(hope that doesn't get me kicked out) although I don't agree on certain things.
-Voted for the first time in my life last fall. I don't think I have to tell you who for otherwise I wouldn't be here. I voted for Richard Shelby in our seante race also. Please understand it was because his office moved some mountains somewhat to get my father some beneifts and it was my way of saying thank you.
-Belive in the death penalty for extreme cases(ie scott peterson, osama if it ever got that far)
-Support the war on terror not the war on iraq. But no matter how I feel about shrub I will NEVER,EVER crap on our boys. Unless they bring upon themslves.
Um,I don't want to take too long so I say if anyone else wants to know anything feel free to ask. But before I go,I want to share the following story with you.
Now bear in mind, this happened on Coast to Coast AM,which if anyone has ever listened knows that it can a little out there. With that said..........
One of the guest hosts was interviewing a fellow by the name of Red Elk, a self proclaimed medicine man/prophet who belives in christ and says he was given visions in the seventies after spending thirty nine days on I think water and minerals. The visions he claims were of a apocolyptic(arent they all?) future of the earth but one we can change. In case you were wondering, elk is member of the inner hoyoka tribe.
Anyway, during the program a guy phoned in and said that on 9/10/2001 (take this for what its worth) he woke up with a strange dream of going down in an elevator, reaching the bottom with the doors opening and revealing rubble. Well friends,we all know what happened the next day and so did the caller. So you can see where this is headed.
Now...here's the kicker..
This fellow said that he recently had a dream where he faced shrub and shrub was doing "evil cackle" or laugh that he does and was pointing toward this coming september 30 on a calender. He asked the president the meaning of this three times and got the same action each time. He says also saw visions of a nuclear blast.
Again, take this for what it's worth. Two things though, A.According to this red elk,the fact that he was told this three times is sign towards something happening also. B.Elk himself is worried about something for the end of the month.
I'm not saying anything other than reporting what I heard.

3. I wouldn't worry about it, BUT... |
|
...you should always be prepared no matter what anyone says. You don't need this "red elk" guy to scare you into being ready. A major catastrophe could strike anywhere on Earth at any minute (take your pick) or you could always slip and fall in the shower and die.
Life is short - cherish it as if it could all go away - because one day it will for all of us, eventually. You don't need "red elk" to tell you that.

4. Welcome to the DU. I think that when we are traumatized by a hurricane |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 04:57 AM by applegrove
we then pick up on all other hurricanes. Not phony hurricanes. We just are more aware.
I think that dreams are filled with anxieties and fears and such. So sometimes something happens and then somehow you remember the part of your dreams the night before that were foreboding. Otherwise you might not remember that dream at all. And we all have at least once thought something happened that was actually a dream.
Me, myself, I remember really painful dreams. Not so much the regular everyday run of the mill ones.
But I think that is how it works. Keep in mind that your brain is pretty close to that of a caveman's and it is hopped up on danger and fear and those things in subconscious. So could be all night long you dream of scary weird stuff. Or perhaps just for one minute you dream the bad stuff. But then when something bad happened - you say "hey - I dreamed it before - the night before it happened today". But of course you are dreaming every night.
Would be normal in times of strife and trauma to dream more. You americans are certainly going through a rough patch. You have a bunch of creeps in the WH. That alone is enough to weigh very heavily on your subconscious. Even if you don't know it at first.
With PTSD you will dream about the trauma in all sorts of ways - I don't know because I was always on an SSRI when the trauma happened - and then you go on an SSRI and even then - a bit. And the dreams will be clear and lucid in their message.
So I think what your friend is doing is normal. And it is a strife-filled time so it would be normal for his brain to be dreaming lots of disaster & anxiety. Creeps have a way of scaring you to the core. And your dreams follow. I imagine many Americans are in a fight with their souls. Too much lying & myth making at the federal level these days. Somewhere in our souls - we sense before-hand - before the actual realization - that there is evil in our midst.
IMHO.

6. Nicely put. Americans are going through hell rich and poor. |

The poor who are trying make ends meet and many of the rich who sold their souls a long time ago are having a terrible time.
Where are you? In Canada, I am guessing.

7. Yes. And unfortunately I have experienced much of what America |
|
is going through. That is why I can "nicely put it". It is very, very hard. When your world is rocked. At first you will believe anything so that it isn't as bad and as evil as it actually is. Then - over time & with much pain - you learn to accept what a horrid spot you are in.
There is much that can help you along the way. Good friends. Great family. Medical drugs.
But really the big thing, however you find it - is that you find out you are not alone. That is so important. To find places where you can talk it out. And - to laugh. Laugh your head off. Laugh even at the saddest parts - laugh while you are crying. Watch TDS & Maher. Because - whether you like it or not - it is a very human thing to find all you hold dear to be going down the toilet. It happens every so often. The bad guys win for a bit. And then we learn - at least for a generation.
So grab your keypad and help others along. Help them to be discerning. Help them to not loose empathy. Help them focus their anger. Teach them to fight for their country as adults. And you will help yourself. And learn to accept. So that you can do what you can do to change it.

First of all,I did not mean scare you like that.I am verry sorry. (big hug) Again,I had read a lot of the bush conspiracy stuff here and I thought you all might find it interesting. Anyway,I am sorry. As far as the three times are concerned,I guess in his belief system,if happens three times,it's true. I don't know.
Take care,
Pole

the phrase itself is meaningless, much like the "war on drugs" or the "war on poverty"
total rhetoric

16. Hi, glad to meet you. |
|
I do have a question for you. Why do you consider Scott Peterson an extreme case for the death penalty? I am very anti death penalty, but I understand others feelings when it comes to mass murder & serial killers. I don't understand in a case that was most likely not a premeditated killing.

I am sorry I got away from you rainbow,I did forget this.If you happen to check you responses and see this, please let me know.
Anyway, first off as far the death penalty goes-what I mean as extreme is in comparison to places like texas where they make an almost weekly event. Just about every killer down there was excecuted. Sometimes once a week, sometimes twice a week. Sometimes twice in one night!!! It was macabe. I don't think every killer belongs on death row. I personally(and if I was a judge) would take on a case by case basis. Only the really unfeeling, cold blooded types(and you can tell) would I condemm.
Re:Scott Peterson-Gotta disagree with you there. I think he did ir and on purpose.Granted,I can't give any proof but I could say that believe that he just plain wanted out and did not want to be a father. This dude wanted the high life and be "Joe Stud" amd "Joe Sexy" and chase women. By the way,in case you didn't know-his online name in prison now is "Scotty2Hotty". "shakes head" I'm sure he's got a dude named Leroy somewhere that would love him.
That's my answer,I hope to see you around and thanks for check out my intro.:hi:
Best,

19. Welcome to DU. I gotta say I had a message |
|
from God or someone up there back in 2000 during the recounts that said if ** got into office we would have the worst war we'd ever seen. I dunno if that meant nukes or civil war or both.. but man I was very scared when I got that info.
Too bad I didn't get any actual details beyond "something really bad is coming. Eventually."
