O'Reilly lambasted "creepy, little, left-wing outfit" Media Matters.
O'Reilly lambasted "creepy, little, left-wing outfit" Media Matters for reporting his U.N. death wish.

September 20 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly took aim at Media Matters for America after we highlighted his comments expressing regret that Hurricane Katrina had not hit the United Nations building in New York instead of New Orleans. O'Reilly's comments were brought to the attention of Fox News by former Sen. Timothy E. Wirth (D-CO), president of the United Nations Foundation, who asked Fox News and O'Reilly to publicly apologize. Far from an apology, O'Reilly's vitriolic response instead targeted both Media Matters and Wirth. O'Reilly repeatedly referred to Media Matters as "creepy" and compared us to the devil worshipping "little people" in the film Rosemary's Baby. O'Reilly admonished Wirth for sending the letter -- lamenting his willingness to accept the "propaganda that this creepy, little, left-wing outfit gave him" -- and called it "off-the-chart embarrassing."

MM rocks; they've picked up the slack when MediaWhoresOnline folded.

Well he IS an expert on creepy
Does anyone know how many times David Brock has been on O'Reilly and/or Fox News?

It would also be interesting to see the number of appearances before and after his book "Blinded by the Right" came out.

5. Sweet!
Getting called "creepy" by O'Reilly is a high compliment. I can only hope to reach for the same lofty heights.

Say nothing about the charge and hit the messenger over the head.

12. Yes, Mr. O'Reilly, how DARE people listen to what you say
And take you task for it. The absolute nerve! Don't people know that they're just supposed to bask in the glow of your intellect and worship your image? Imagine the temerity of people listening to what you say and calling you to account for it.

Hee, hee. Media Matters appears to have really gotten to Falafel Boy. Sputtering, stuttering, and stammering with rage.

13. I don't consider MM to be an extremely LW organization
and what's creepy about them? The RW counts on ignorance when spouting their propaganda, and MM corrects the record. I don't think David Brock is an idealogue necessarily, he knows their tricks and calls them on it. Ooooh, creepy!

I just wish he had more of an audience. America would be better off with regular visits to his site and Factcheck.org.

18. That's their M.O. No defense of the facts, so they resort to name-calling
It usually means that we've hit the nail on the head.

14. Makes me feel even better about the other day.
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 10:49 AM by fudge stripe cookays
I pulled into a Kroger nearby to buy some grocery cards for hurricane victims.

When I got back to the parking lot, and old white piece of shit Cadillac had pulled in next to me.

On the bumper? A sticker that said, "Don't be a pinhead, listen to the O'Reilly Factor!"

So I scribbled out a note (I was hurrying so I wouldn't get caught) saying, "Only pinheads listen to O'Reilly!"

Not really original or anything, but it made me feel better. In all my activism, I've never left a note for an asshole before.

16. What an ass
What would the right had said if Michael Moore said something like that? I mean Cindy (according to them) is only after her 15 minutes of fame and is aiding and abetting the terrorists. But THEY (RW Spin Machine) think they can say anything and dare to be challeged. Hey Bill - its not a DICTATORSHIP YET - but it will be coming soon to your town.

17. The good thing about Media Matters is that they actually...
have video clips of the person saying what they deny they said. I've already used it several times with Freepers to prove what they said was wrong. (Especially with Rush Limbaugh's quotes.)

Neo-cons hate Media Matters because there's proof that they're lying. In my opinion, it's one of our best weapons against the right.

They are definitely worth supporting through our donations!
