CNN just showed Cindy Sheehan in Washington
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 11:34 AM by highplainsdem
First mention of her I've noticed on CNN for quite a while. But unfortunately it was less than a minute; they'll have Texas governor Rick Perry up next.

Perry's on now...

Forgot to mention that they just showed Cindy addressing a crowd; you couldn't hear anything she was saying.

2. Hopefully
Looking at Bush's poll numbers and everything. I'm not going to hold my breath though. Did they mention the one in 2003?

4. I was at one of them in 2003
The one in January got a little coverage - we had about 300,000 marchers, IMO (cops said 100,000 and the organizers said 500,000. I generally assume it is halfway between those 2 estimates).

But not nearly enough. We should be front page across the whole damn country.

Maybe we have a chance now, though - coverage seems to be less bush-worshipping lately according to people here (I have no cable so I don't see it first hand). Some think it is because the media is 'waking up', whereas I am more cynical, I think it is because bush's numbers are tanking so the media is going after the ratings. Either way, I will stay optimistic :)

5. I hope that CNN
will cover some of the march on Saturday ... we should give them + feedback for any coverage

I fear it may be Rita Rita Rita.

6. I'm hoping they cover Cindy Sheehan.
If the march is big enough, it will give Cindy a platform. Then she can speak for the crowd.
