It looks like those of us on the Oklahoma border
are going to get Tropical Storm Rita.
I live on the Northeast Corner--and I will be taking pics and posting them as this monster comes through here on Sunday.
I went ahead and put up my grill, garbage cans, all my outside stuff, just to be safe.
As of yesterday, it showed us getting Rita as a Tropical Depression. The area of hurricane force winds does seem to be moving further and further inland.

4. Whatever is left of the storm will get to us here in OK, but I'm not
getting in the cellar just yet. It should be calmed down considerably after traveling across Texas, but with this season, who knows. Tornadoes might be possible.

6. Oh yippie
more storms :eyes:. NE Kansas here and I do so wish it would dry out, maybe for a week so I could get some outdoor work done. I know, BMW. Sorry, these storms do make me glad I do not live on the coast like I would prefer.

Stay safe everyone. If you make it to Kansas I can help you out.

7. We might get some rain out of this in Iowa.
Well, we do need rain. We are 15 inches behind normal rainfall here in eastern Iowa.

8. Yikes. The track of that storm looks like it's got a bullseye on T Town.
...OTOH, we could use some rain. Just no twisters, please.
