Did he vote for Bush in 2000 & 2004?
What was his attitude during Impeachment?
I really want to like this guy lately, but I still don't trust him.

He's recently realized that it's a whole lot easier to be all grumpy and curmudgeonly about the Bush crowd than the liberal establishment. This is fortunate for liberals, but it's nothing to count on in the future. It's just an easier and more defensible gig.
Bottom line - grumpy and curmudgeonly above all. Bottom line.
