3. I did that today!!
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 04:42 PM by tulsakatz
On Sunday night I passed a gas station and the price was $2.36 per gallon. I thought about buying gas then but I wanted to wait and see if it would go lower.

Today it was $2.49.....oh well, at least I bought it before it gets too high.

I don't drive that much anyway. Before hurricane Katrina, I filled up before the hurricane hit the gulf coast and that has lasted me until now.......so with any luck this tank should last another 3 weeks or so. Hopefully gas prices will recover by then.

4. Filled up my scooter yesterday for $1.50
That'll last me about two weeks.

Damn, the next tank of gas I put in it might cost over $2.00. What an outrage!

a hearty to you, too! If I could haul around two kids and a dog on a scooter, I'd do it. I'm glad someone can!

Adding: Oh, yeah, forgot to mention: I filled up yesterday.

8. Don't think it wouldn't be possible!

But it does take a fair amount of practice...

(I think that's the same model of scooter that I have. Gets over 100 mpg, goes about 55 mph).

Too bad we can't get these in the US yet:

It looks like a fairly inexpensive electric vehicle. If I'm doing the conversion right, Rs 2.25 lakh is about $5,131.00 (includes the batteries).

9. Believe it or not, we do have an electric scooter
Unfortunately, it has one itty-bitty seat and I live in an extremely hilly area, but my kids keep lobbying for a sidecar. Suuuuure, thaaaat could happen.

I wouldn't mind one of those Thai tuk tuks, though. http://www.coltrane-electronics.com.nyud.net:8090/tuktuk/images/tuk-tuk09.jpg

Although I know from experience just how little protection they provide in the rain.
