Tucker Carlson vs Bill Maher

The two sparred over Katrina. Guess who won?

...snip

Maher calls Michael Brown the "Fredo Corleone" of government and brings us back to Bush's seven minutes of inaction. The two got into it over Bill Clinton and Maher wonders if Bill would have appointed a crony like Fema Brown in the first place. Carlson said he wanted to throw up watching Clinton on TV. Maher said that seeing dead bodies wanted to make him throw up.

Maher: That would not have happened under Bill Clinton...

Edited to add description.

2. Twit boy needs a new asshole every once and a while
Think of the new asshole Jon Stewart ripped him. That was good. Twit boy needs to stick with soft-balls to neo-cons. He's out of his league with liberals.

3. I saw this
the line about Maher saying bodies floating in NO disgusts me, not Clintons self serving statements" was strong. Bowtie was tongue tied at this strange new phenomena of a man speaking truth .

I don't understand that. He had OS with Monica, and that makes him the ultimate evildoer.

8. Making Preppie Boy look small isn't hard to do, but Maher raised it to
an art form. Tucker is much better as a writer than a debater. Writing is also safer for his career. When he has to debate someone with brains, he just looks childish.

He's a sad little man.

But I still watch his show from time to time cuz I think Rachel Maddow just plain ROCKS. She often makes me laugh out load when she cleans Preppie Boy's clock.

14. I like Maher but this is a lie
He said Hillary did not support the war even though she voted for the resolution because that authorized war only as the last resort.
Bullshit.

Nowhere in the IWR can you read "last resort" and nowhere does it state that Bush first has to exhaust every other option. If you read the language it's obvious it was a blank check. And Bush himself wouldn't have accepted anything less than a blank check. When Bush decided to pull the inspectors out in March 2003 Hillary did not object.

Here's what the resolution says:

The President is authorized to use the Armed Forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate in order to
(1) defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and
(2) enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.

Which means when he determines that it's time to use force he is allowed to do that.
Hillary knew this. And she also knew that by Oct 11,2002 the deployment was well underway. Someone -- especially not Bush surrounded by a bunch of neocons -- doesn't do it if he doesn't want to use the deployed forces.

So come on? What is Bill Maher talking about?

Moreover, he, too, played the "let's deride Gore to the ground" game during the 2000 campaign thus helped Bush even if he voted for Nader in CA and now he says that Bill Clinton would be a much better president now. Duh!
