5. Just turn off graphics in your browser

Since you are a dialup user I would think you have them off already.

If you are using Mozilla, go to Edit>Preferences>Privacy & Security>Images and click Accept Images which come from the originating server only.

That will turn off all the blogad graphics on DU.
