7. Local news is saying no reports of tornados on the ground |
|
The metro area (Mpls/St Paul and burbs) are in a warning and radar is showing rotation in the clouds. The northern suburbs have taken a pounding (35,000 without power), rain, baseball size hail and straight line winds, but no reports of tornados touching down.
It seems to be moving off toward the east (take cover Wisconsin) as a couple of the local stations have gone back to network programming and they wouldn't do that if things weren't calming down.

8. jeez cnn is irresponsible. They should tune into wcco, channel 4 and watch |
|
Paul Douglas and his whiz kid computer weather presentation. He can get very precise info on the spot and put it up for tv viewers to see.
However, he did not document one tornado touchdown - says that will have to come tomorrow in the light of day when experts go out and examine the pattern of damage. A citizen reported a tornado sighting in Brooklyn Park but there was no verification on that yet.
