Notice how many Repukes won't give up their pet projects...Don Young's "Bridge To Nowhere" (as someone called it on CNN earlier), Denny Hastert's parkway project in the western suburbs of Chicago, and Tom DeLay's heap o' pork for his own district. Young said..."But all of those funds are going for TRANSPORTATION!"

So what about Hwy. 90, a lifeline of the Gulf Coast area, all but wiped out by Katrina? Don't the people there deserve roads too?

10. We do NOT and did NOT have a tornado in Minneapolis

We've had tornado warnings in the Mpls/St Paul area since about 6pm and there is a possibility of a tornado touchdown in a northwest suburb (unconfirmed as yet - may have been straightline winds).

I'm in a southern suburb and it hasn't even rained yet. The weather in the area appears to be calming down. (Though it was very odd weather for September.)
