down. We're not out of the woods as far as heavy rains go, but the tornado threat is dimishing.

If a tornado hit the City of Minneapolis, the local news seems to have missed it. There is a possibility of what was at first thought to be straight line winds in a northern suburb might have been a tornado, but no confirmation of that yet.

A sure sign things are getting better - the local stations have gone back to network programming. I also just heard a plane go over my apartment building so the airport is operating. (The airport and I are a bit south of the city.)

1. The worst has definitely passed.
Some wild stuff on the radar there for awhile, and reports of many thousands of people without power but we are in the northwest metro and everything stayed on just fine. No trees or limbs down in my neighborhood that I could see.

5. That would be a northern suburb
I also heard something about Andover and Elk River having severe damage. I hope I heard wrong.
