Damn...I used to love listening to Larry in the 70's when he did a lonely little late night talk show out of Washington. Then the brain cells began to vanish.

telethon. I happened onto it just as he took over for a couple of hours and it was the funniest goddamn thing I ever saw. Couldn't read the prompters, couldn't look into the right cameras etc. He looked confused and lost the entire time. Maybe his suspenders will snap those scrawny shoulder blades and he'll be put out of his misery.

I kind of assumed they were just sparks, since there wasn't anything to burn except the tires, but I wondered if the tires had caught fire.

As for the fire department, which someone mentioned above, I wondered if they were there at the end for a rescue operation, or if they were going to check the plane to see if the fuselage had gotten too hot from the sparks, or fire, or whatever, or if they were just on standby in case the thing suddenly burst into flames.

So I'd have asked stupid questions, too.
