Losing some good friends

You know I have had some special, romantic times spent in New Orleans.
It is almost surreal to think that it will never be the same again.
However, Galveston has always been one of my most favorite places to escape.
I spent part of my honeymoon there for that reason.
It will devastate me if we lose Galveston.:cry:

in 1900 a hurricane killed 6000 people there.

4. I'd bet that Katrina was worse than 1900

Katrina litterally tore down numerous towns in a wide section of the Gulf. They are fudging the numbers, but from all accounts the death toll may exceed 6000.
