Link to latest Rita path forecast model (not good for Western LA)

This is just one model, called the GFS. It might be wrong, but from what I gather it's pretty reputable. It shows Rita hitting near TX/LA border and turning NE into Western and Central LA

2. The GFS has been too quick to break down the high pressure

that's been spoken about so much. That appears to be why GFS is tracking so far east. There was some data yesterday in one of the Rita discussions that said that while GFS forecasted "heights" lowering some measurement, in fact they had not. GFS did the same thing during Emily in July.

for not wanting it to go there. I really hope Rita leaves Louisana alone.
