Who can we ask about wind and what to expect outside of
Houston with winds predicted to be in excess of 100 miles per hour. Anyone know a good source for this kind of information?

2. I've been using the KHOU Channel 11 one...
Try

It's got lots of information about Houston and the surrounding areas. I don't know exactly where you're located, but you can find a lot of stuff here.

7. here's a wind probability chart
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIAPWSAT3+shtml/DDHHMM.shtml?

looks like a 47% chance of winds up to 95 mph. It has a 27% chance of winds 96+ but I don't know what the X next to it means. The legend says X means less than .5% chance but why do they put the 27 in there?

than 100mph. <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4588149.stm>

If you find the first part boring, just skip to part 7 of the animation.

Here's the 33 hour wind field forecast from: <http://tsr.mssl.ucl.ac.uk/>
