I suspect that some of them are paid because of their quick response on issues that righties I know personally don't care about that much--post anything on alternate energy and they are on it like flies on shit, even though a lot of cons are intrigued by the tech.

it's good to have Freepers actually read what goes on here. They can see that...GASP!...we're not as insane as they say. :)

Also, it's good for them to be exposed to things they'll never hear on that other site.

6. I find them funny. Not because of what they say, but by how quickly

fellow DUers smack them down. I always kind of hate to see the "deleted post" link because I always want to see what they wrote to bring on such great replies from our loved ones here.

I think people sometimes overreact to their presence. Even the "Freeper sees reality" folks who end up beeing confirmed Freepers aren't that bad for DU. The non-regular Duer would never know that we weren't converting Freepers by the dozen when seeing these posts - I think it's all good. It's funny when they are eventually ferreted out too :D

14. The hate mailbag is hilarious. Almost adorable.

I can feel the fun the DU administration has in responding.

It's a sort of adjunct to the "Top Ten Conservative Idiots" list, and is actual proof that a freep's only handy response to Democratic views is to wax insane. It's where the Goonbats get to button-up their brown shirts.

To put it like John Roberts who tried to butch-up his hearings with sports analogies, Mailbag contributors are minor-league conservative idiots.

With the right medication, a liberal dose of public gay-bashing and some corporate cash behind them, they too might one day enter the top ten.

They pop up and the rush is on. Who can argue with them the loudest, who can hit the alert fastest and how quickly will it be until the tombstone is placed.

I wish they could save the troll posts instead of delete them...you miss a lot when you see 50 replies without seeing the original post.

It's bad enough there's a website or two dedicated to encouraging people to troll here. Just shows you how really lame these losers must be.

If you see me post "Solidarity" it is because a Freeper Mole is playing "Divide and Conquer". Lately, I have been thinking about ways to divide and conquer them, but I probably wont do it. It is such an underhanded tactic, and we really do have justice on our side.

the most obvious case of this was when they pretended that going after the GOPs relationship with Jeff Gannon was gay-bashing, like the couldn't see that the point was hypocrisy.

I don't really give a rat's ass if someone is gay, or as in the case of Bush and Rush, were former or current drug addicts, but when they attack other people for things they do themselves, it's worthy of comment.

Freepers posing as extreme left-wingers, bashing Democrats out of "pure" ideology actually DOES alienate DUers from these boards.

For instance, quite a few red state DUers have left DU out of frustration because they've been insulted by "angry Democrats", when in fact the "angry Democrats" were just Freepers trying to make them feel ostracized.
