"Good at politics, bad at governing"
Yep, that pretty much sums up the Republicans in power. Whoever is covering for Ed Schultz on Sirius TalkLeft today got it right with that one. He's covering the National Enquirer article about Bush's drinking right now.

5. I'll try but my two year old...barely two year old...is trying to
give up naps. Grr!

My eight year old just invited a friend over to watch "Return of the Jedi"

It sounds like Jay is about to take calls about the story. He mentioned an AAR conversation about "dry drunks"...

okay now he's on the Frist stock sale story. Filler while people call in?

9. Now he's asking if it's a kosher subject to broach.
He's taking calls from people asking if it's even a good thing to talk about the content of the National Enquirer article...the National Enquirer being what it is and all.

So far, callers have said it's a valid topic to talk about regardless of what the source is.

3. They remind me of the old joke about the difference between
how a prospect and a customer are treated.

4. Rigid ideology serves them well during elections
They can always go thru the list - small government, tax cuts etc and people (even if they disagree) will be attracted to (and have respect for) someone who can clearly say where they stand. However when it comes to governing, this ideolgy handcuffs them in terms of their policy options - and often dooms them to failure.
