Forming a group to try to get left-wing radio in Eastern Iowa
Has anyone tried to bring AirAmerica or something similar into their area successfully. We are thinking that if we can exert some consumer pressure, maybe we can get some attention.
AA continues to expand and there must be someone doing something. If you've had some success could you share your experience.
We are thinking of approaching ClearChannel. They seem to have flipped many of their stations. Would Cumulus be a better target?
This is a very blue area and AA would do well here. I have contacted AA but have received no reply.
Thanks for any help!

1. Where in Iowa?
CC has an AAR affiliate in the Quad Cities (1270AM).

Here's a site with listings and web sites of stations in Iowa markets.

The idea of going for advertisers that would want to reach a more thinking audience can do a lot to pressure the station to consider a change in format.
Check the rating for local stations and target the stations with weak numbers.

4. Thanks - some of the stations aren't rated
that I can find on the internet - market is too small.
