Watching the evacuation in Texas |
reminds me of the assurances that were made in the 1960s that in case of nuclear attack there was a plan to evacuate New York City. I thought then it was hokey and this absolutely proves it. The government is nothing but a buncha lies stacked up until you will never see the top.

1. If cities are serious about evac, they cannot rely on individual |
vehicles. people need to be BUSED out, with what they can carry..unless they leave well in advance of the "official evac" order..
If a family evacuates with 3 cars...well you see the problem..

5. I know FEMA told Amtrak they couldn't take out evacuees from NO. |
They probably have a limited amount of passenger trains because of scheduling. If they are there, they're probably filled. One would think even cattle cars at this point would do.

7. Who now in the region is following their normal schedule and why |
is amtrak still following theirs. It seems in the two days they've been predicting this that they could have organized something. FEMA is of course brilliant; but then again in an emergency our dear leaders typically make the brilliant choice of shutting down mass transit. As if plugging the roadways were the only way.

8. Unless you are willing to put people in boxcars |
and take the political heat, then the trains won't be that much help. Not that many passenger cars available.
