"Coretta Scott King leaves hospital"
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Coretta Scott King went home from the hospital Thursday more than a month after suffering a stroke and a mild heart attack.

The 78-year-old-widow of civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has been recovering at Piedmont Hospital since August 16.

The stroke initially left her unable to speak or move her right side, but she has made some recovery over the past five weeks, doctors said.

Family members announced her release at a news conference.
