My letter to Sirius radio
I would like you to know that although I have a ongoing Sirius subscription; I did not listen to Sirius for 3 months after Air America left, I received your new newsletter: the title is: Get Ready 9/29/05 More Channels/More Choices/More of What you want. Not really!

What I want is liberal radio which is why I forked out $200.00 for equipment. I see there are 2 conservative stations, I want two liberal radio stations, and I have a suggestion. There are many superstars in the blogosphere that are like gravy to mashed potatos to us liberals, if you would recruit them, it would be a big win for us, for you, for them. Guy James, who will go off the air in October, broadcasts out of Florida, is the darling at Democratic Underground that has 77,000 subscribers. Please spice up things.

Left Adrift Liberal left with Martha Stewart blah blah, and Howard Stern Nah, Nah

5. I am kind of hoping we can help out Guy James
He seems like a very nice man, and not a ranter, I am so tired of
screamers on the talk radio, I see this as a chance to help him. This
might be another Republican dirty trick, then we move over XM and
then the liberal stations are booted off over there.

6. Other than Stern, Thom Hartmann, and uh, uh...
...you know me, I'm a diehard Stern-a-holic, but other than Howard and Hartmann, come Jan. 1, 2006, Sirius w/o AAR is going to be a LOT less than I was aiming for. Other than the music channels as well, I'm at a loss for what else to get out of it. Ok, Lynn Sameuls and Steph Miller I'd check out, but TWO right wing Nazi channel and only ONE left!? FUKU!

7. please send them an e-mail like you just posted.
They have signed up Martha Stewart for God's sake, they are looking
for an audience, we are an audience looking for an outlet, I feel that
there has to be liberal stations on both XM and Sirius, I afraid
this is part of the consiracy to destroy liberal radio. Last Saturday,
they had football on Sirius Left.

11. This is my story:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=109&topic_id=22846

When I called up to cancel, stating that I was cancelling because Air America was no longer there, the very enthusiastic teenager (sounded like one, anyway) stated, " Ummm ... have you checked out ... uh .. Sirius Left?" I told her, "Yes, I have. Alex Bennett is unsatisfactory. I have emailed and begged enough. No more Sirius." She cancelled, without any more guff.

By that time, I had received my unit, and begun my XM service.

once it impacts their audience share, they will respond

18. I understand, but unless we rain on their parade
they are going to keep on, somehow, I don't think the conservatives
really are lobbying for 2 satellite radio stations, most of the
dittoheads I know think satellite radio is some leftist, liberal
stupid, commie thing that costs you money. We are the real audience
of satellite radio, we need to make them aware of that.

16. I was sent a Sirius survey this week, made many points made here.
I don't know Guy James, but suggested him for a second liberal channel based on what I've read here. I wanted Stephanie Miller expanded and Alex Bennett and Alan Colmes axed. I am a third year subscriber and have five subscriptions: two in cars, two in the house and one at work. maybe just maybe they will care what I think as this is the fourth time I have been asked to respond to their survey

17. If I remember correctly
some folks were all over XM because they were or are big Repug contributors. All I can say is XM still carries Air America.

20. I think it would be very easy to pull AAR off Sirius
and then ax it on XM, it would be a very Rovian thing to do. Then
have XM also have a programming makeover and eliminate talk radio for
liberals.
