My thoughts on the Enquirer Bush story |
|
Remember about four years ago when the Enquirer ran a story about Jenna Bush's drunken carousing?
Remember a few weeks after that, when the anthrax attacks happened? The first place that got hit (and the only fatality from the attacks) was the mailroom at American Media, the company that owns the Enquirer.
These people know firsthand the dangers of crossing Bush--and calling him a drunk is about as crossed as Bush can possibly be.
I know Bush is going to retaliate somehow. If you ran the Enquirer, would you want him to retaliate because you lied about him to try to sell a couple of papers?
Add to that the simple fact that Bush has been an active and heavy drinker since he took office, and probably before. I know, and you know, that he drinks. Either that, or staggering around like someone gave him a $1000 gift card to DC Liquors even though he's sober is Bush's idea of a good time.
I believe the story, simply because there's too much for them to lose to make up something like this.

6. Depends who's really in power right now... |
|
Is it Bush? Or is it the "inside" folks who gave the story to the Enquirer.

George Bush is running the country...into the ground, but he's still running the country.
The career federal employees that staff the various parts of the government most directly affected by Bush, who tend to like the idea that their boss be competent, have got to be pissed off about that.
What better way to get rid of this idiot and all his cabal, than to disgrace him?

Worthless tabloid questions and celebrity crap, I'm your gal. I kinda agree that some memo has come down from the top.
Let's call it: Is Bush fair game? (oh Joe Wilson may your day be coming soon..October)

10. Thanks for the clarification. Nothing but respect Ms. Gotti |

:D
Of course, IMO, bush* is fair game. His "team" has been able to hide so many filthy truths about him, but I believe that everything comes out in the wash (eventually).
I hope that all of the people who believed in the "swift" lies realize how badly that they had been had, and how their poor thought processes allowed for a war hero to be undermined by a drunken AwOL bastard that has never been sucessful at anything in his life, much less worked a day in his miserable life.
