3. I wonder if her neck looks like
that because she clearly had a necklace on and maybe with her body bloating it looks like her neck was slashed. Sorry, don't mean to be gross, but I think when a body has drown it becomes quite swollen. I also think that rather than being beaten it is simply what happens under those circumstances.

4. You are correct that decomposition
causes the body to bloat.

Also, the "blunt force" appearance could be from the blunt force of an object in the water that struck her.
