Are the Saudi's turning on Bushie???
Saudi Minister Warns U.S. Iraq May Face Disintegration

WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 - Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, said Thursday that he had been warning the Bush administration in recent days that Iraq was hurtling toward disintegration, a development that he said could drag the region into war.

"There is no dynamic now pulling the nation together," he said in a meeting with reporters at the Saudi Embassy here. "All the dynamics are pulling the country apart." He said he was so concerned that he was carrying this message "to everyone who will listen" in the Bush administration.

Prince Saud's statements, some of the most pessimistic public comments on Iraq by a Middle Eastern leader in recent months, were in stark contrast to the generally upbeat assessments that the White House and the Pentagon have been offering.

But in an appearance at the Pentagon on Thursday, President Bush, while once again expressing long-term optimism, warned that the bloodshed in Iraq was likely to increase in the coming weeks.

1. Why did the Saudis end their oil embargo war of the 1970s?
Because they knew that with some clever thinking, they could - over time - get us to become so dependent on the stuff that we'd eventually choke on our 'need' of it?

11. Those are the words that will face him the rest of his life.
Well, that and the WMD's in Iraq allegations. The man has no limits of stupidity.

so what side do you think they support. I bet it's not those blaspheming Shia. (Sarcasm)

Translation: The Saudi Ambassador says Bush is supporting the wrong side.

5. Sarcasm noted and appreciated.
The Saudis have been a close ally for the * family and their ties go MUCH deeper than this "war on terra." It's interesting to see how they have "suddenly" changed course.

The tide is a changing.

10. Not the secular Sunnis that are the Baathist remnants
or for that matter, the religious Sunnis, the Saudis being all wrapped up in the puritanical Wahabi sect.

I'm fairly sure all the Saudis want is peace and quiet on the border, and with any luck, a counterbalance to Iran.

8. There's no future in the Bushs now.
If the Saudis once thought they could profit from Bush family friendship beyond 2008, they don't now.

The Bush dynasty is over, and the next adminstration is going to sweep the Bush cronies out of government.

9. Damn I hope so.
It would be nice to see people other than democrats waking up to the mess we are in. It's like living through a nightmare you can't wake up out of. Poor sentence construction I know, but you get my point. :-)
