"I believe that Bush believes he is right.."?
A Republican infiltrator just posted this comment in a thread that was started by MoPaul, but he said it in such a way as validation for why he supported Bush. I'm sure Bush "believes" he's going to establish democracy in Iraq. I'm sure Bush "believes" that war and indiscriminate killing is acceptable in his Christian belief. I'm sure Bush "believes" that he can cut taxes again and that the record deficits he has created are not really important. I'm sure he "believes" in the private accounts as a substitute for Social Security. I'm sure he believed he would make a fortune when he "invested" in Harken Energy. I'm sure he "believes" a lot of crap. But, the facts show that just about everything he "believes" has been proven false and has been a disaster for all of us.

1. If you have a ship captain that 'believes he is right' and runs the ship
aground, killing all the crew and losing the cargo, what the hell good does his "believing he was right" count for? :shrug:

in Ontario started a social experiment and just kick back and laughed and relaxed when the vulnerable & poor were put into crisis. they sort of did a giant :shrug: "well they should try not to be soo poor next time".

That is part of what they try to teach. The message is the medium and the medium (social kaos as their social engineering goes on) the message.

6. I think bush believes he's doing the 'right' thing
but he is unable to distinguish what is good for his friends businesses from what is good for the world and our country as a whole.

9. now that is (&#%ing lame!
poor widdle George is sooo misunderstood!
Hitler "believed" that everybody except blonde, blue-eyed "Aryan" looking people didn't have the right to share the planet with him. I'm sure this dumbass poster (whom I missed because I just woke up after falling asleep way too early) would have defended him too.

10. Great piece by Aravosis (AMERICAblog) on Bush's view of reality
For President Bush there are two kinds of facts: regular facts and, as he put it, “true” facts. Regular facts are the inconvenient stuff of naysayers, such as expert advisers, scientists, courts of law, or one’s own eyes. True facts, on the other hand, are a pure reflection of desire, a kind of wishing makes it so—like when Peter Pan exhorts us to clap our hands and let our belief in fairies save the dying Tinkerbell. (Except in Bushworld it’s Rove wearing the fairy wings.) Chalk it up to a poor grasp of reality, incredible hubris, or even outright deception, but true facts always trump the truth when Bush is in charge.

<snip>

In the Tinkerbell presidency, details are heretical. Terri Schiavo will walk again, no child will be left behind, John Bolton is an honorable man, and the mission in Iraq has been accomplished.

11. Sincerity is the most overrated of virtues.
Great evil is usually done by people who "believe" they are doing good.

12. Yeah, that post irritated me when I saw it too
And you're exactly right on why just believing that Bush thinks he's right isn't good enough. Who gives a shit if he thinks he's right? The point is - he's NOT right!! Just because a moron thinks he's right doesn't mean I'd vote for him.

Why, if he is such a great Christian, did he hire Karl Rove whose job is seemingly to violate the ninth Commandment? And then there is the phony ranch and the fake photo-ops and on and on and on.
