He resigned and maybe his resignation date is off in the future - while he takes his paid leave. I am sure he would ant to keep his medical coverage until he finds a new job.
Also, Chertoff may want him to keep quiet. Being on the rolls, he would probably have to abide my some rules.

:evilgrin: I believe he is still pushing papers inside HS, but who knows what his position is really... Does it matter? He didn't do anything when he was in charge of FEMA - nothing changes now... He collects his big fat paycheck, doesn't do squat.
Hmm, unless he's the head of a calvary unit in FEMA! He could at least shoe some horses there...
