CSpan question - America's self image - How can Democrats address this?
OK, reasonable people are beginning to question the direction of our country, and are somewhat in shock of us looking like a third world country. Democrats need to grab onto this.

I believe Howard Dean was right all along, but the media labelled him liberal when he was merely a populist. We need candidates who can address America's image without being labelled liberal, not that there is anything wrong with liberals, mind you. Our Democrats in Washington need to get out there on the media and start pointing things out to the American people - many are ready to listen. But we have to not come off as bashing, maybe don't even mention Bush's name just tell what changes ahve been made and how that effects every day Americans.
