We get Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, SAIC, and a host of other Defense Contractors advertising on the local version of 1010 WINS down here, WTOP. WTOP is not only an AM station, but broadcasts on three local FM frequencies as well. We also get C-Span on FM. It replaced a jazz-blues public station....

I swear, we get Defense Contractor advertising in the same way more normal places advertise Car Dealerships. I have heard advertising for Tanks, Planes, Radar Systems, Space Stations and all sorts of multi billion dollar products.

Makes me feel like a loser cause I can't afford a Battlefield Management system to monitor my Landscaping needs....
