Tinfoil thought of the day

This was yesterday's :tinfoilhat:

However, doesn't it SEEM strange that Cheney would go into the hospital to have vascular surgery on Saturday, September 24?
Why is this strange?
It is a WELL known fact that hospitals run on skeleton crews on the weekends and generally only do emergency surgery as opposed to elective, scheduled surgery. There is no "good" reason for this to be done on Saturday. None at all.
Then the next thought is that he is going to be in the hospital for 48 hours for an elective surgery that is using local anesthesia.
That is a little longer than necessary, even given his history.
Now...the tinfoil comes in...that if we are told he is secluded away in a hospital room, it takes him out of the picture...doesn't it?
What if that is the idea...to make you think that?
I have a feeling that something is up for the weekend...I don't know what it is, however, I have no doubt that Cheney will be in the midst of it.

17. Stop it silly bean
Surgery on Saturday is not that uncommon, many hospitals have an elective OR schedule on Saturday. Major surgery on the Vice President would be best performed when security would not complicate the regular weekly schedule.

As for a local procedure. A popliteal aneurysm repair, open approach, would typically have to be done under general anesthesia. I suspect that a local with sedation was chosen due to significant cardiac disease. However, I have never done nor seen this type of aneurysm repaired without a general. A stent could be placed with local, but all the news casts suggest that he is having an open procedure. Regardless, it is not unusual to have patients stay in the hospital 24-48 hours, especially a VIP patient with four MIs.

Something going to happen? Yes, Bush is going to sit in Colorado and read the 'My Pet Goat' series. In the next addition little Johnny catches uncle Buck in the farm house with Billy the Goat doing what he does with Aunt Maggie. Didn't know goats could squeal like pigs....
