Can you imagine? Supermodels doing drugs? Can't have that! :eyes:

4. Why? It's not like they're repairing airplanes or captaining cruise ships
????

She's a model. She does a lot of blow and smokes a lot of ciggies because she has to stay a Size 0. You don't get a body like that without some seriously unhealthy behavior.

Of course, seriously unhealthy behavior isn't exactly a dirty little secret of the fashion world. What model doesn't use cocaine, amphetamines, cigarettes and portion control to stay thin?

I'm not condoning it, of course, but I certainly don't think drug-testing is any kind of a correct response.

7. Thank you for that, Jen
I tried to reply several times, but couldn't make words into sentences that made any kind of sense. Must've been the slight aneurysm that post gave me. :D

11. high profile example
The drug police score a high profile example without actually having to bust her. Meanwhile, the ever-hypocritical press succeeds in bringing down a person who was basically just being herself.
Hey, here's a flash - Millions of people still do drugs!!!
Trying to tackle the drug issue with law enforcement simply doesn't work. But yet, we march on! Brave warriors in the "war against drugs, terrorism, poverty" - whatever else confronts our reality, we'll declare war. Utter nonsense. Leave the girl alone.
..and if I want to smoke a goddamn joint - it's none of the f&*%#$ governments business.

they have to walk down a 100' stage without falling off it, not like they're airline pilots.

8. Honestly, I never thought she was attractive, anyway.
Even if she had some meat on her bones it wouldn't change my mind. I'm more a BBW type guy, but then women who are barely in double digit sizes are considered BBW's anymore.

15. Yeah, they want to keep that fetishization of pre-pubescent sexuality
...but don't look too hard at how it's brought about. Yes, the models must look like emaciated 10-year-olds...to serve the commodification of sexuality and childhood (sick, imho). How do you expect them to keep that up? Kate Moss must be in her 30s now. That's old. Ancient.

They start when they're 12. Oh, don't get me started on this stuff. There is so much pathology going on in advertising.

19. MMK. 80 pound 5'6" model that does drugs.
;)

I'm glad that short models can make it, now let's work on supporting ones that look like actual women - women not addicted to cocaine that is.
