Christian School Expels Girl for Having Gay Parents

Shay Clark was expelled from Ontario Christian School (search) on Thursday.

"Your family does not meet the policies of admission," Superintendent Leonard Stob wrote to Tina Clark, Shay's biological mother.

The school's policy states that at least one parent cannot engage in practices "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life style such as cohabitating without marriage or in a homosexual relationship," Stob wrote.

10. Yes, my fellow Pastafarian.
I was more than delighted to help with your avatar image of the holy Flying Spaghetti Monster. I was going to use one like yours, but decided to make another one for variety's sake. Go ahead and borrow mine if you like it. There are other images of the Holy-Monster-Made-Of-Pasta that I would like to turn into avatars, blessed be the pasta, the sauce and the holy meatballs.

Ramen!

5. Our tax dollars should not have to fund that through school vouchers
Private school, their policy, that's fine. But public funds should not go to an institution like that.

How would Americans feel if vouchers could be used to go to Muslim schools that made women wear burkas?

7. Religion - legal discrimination
and people support that gibberish crap that comes from religious people. Makes me just as sick to listen to a religious person as it does to listen to Bush. Actually it makes me miore sick, Bush will go away, but religion....

8. Some gibberish
He who is without sin cast the first stone

Love your neighbor as yourself

Worry more about your own faults than those of others

The greatest jihad (struggle) is the one with one's own ego

Forgive those who persecute you, and forgive again and again and again

These ideas are found in all the major religions. It is refreshing when one finds a person that practices them. Interestingly, sometimes the people who do are not a member of a faith at all....other times, they are, but they don't make a big deal of their faith, because LIVING the ideas is the whole point of religion.....unfortunately, too many religiousts sort of forget that part.....

12. Is this sort of thing in the Bible?
Punish a child for the sins of their family, assuming for a moment that homosexuality is a sin, a belief I do not hold. I recall some passage about suffer the child to come unto me, or some such thing. Can any of you biblical folks out there shed some light on this, seems to be a pretty sick form of thinking.

13. It's part of the Ten Commandments
IIRC God will punish you to the third generation--your great-grandchildren.

However, I think that only applies to people who make plastic Jesuses because it's in the Second Commandment, which as I was taught reads "thou shalt not make yourself a Jesus out of plastic. You will not display it on your dashboard or sing songs about it for I am a jealous God, punishing to the third generation all those who disobey my Commandments."

And then there's the Second-and-a-Halfth Commandment, which says "if thou makest a plastic Jesus and placeth it on thy dashboard, thou shalt mount Him so He's facing traffic; Plastic Jesus knoweth how badly thou driveth."

15. Have I got a plastic Jesus for you
http://www.divine-interventions.com/jackhammer.html

I'm pretty sure this was not in the bible. My favorite is the baby jesus. I think we need another commandment.

Number 11: Thou shall not insert graven images into your holy orifice, lest the lord taketh offense.
