We need rallies and marches WITHOUT speakers
A generic topic is fine:

US out of IRAQ
Healthcare For All
George Bush OUT
Save Social Security

NO speakers, only chant leaders and entertainers. Maybe 1 or 2 keynote speakers AND THAT'S IT!! And they better be good - Galloway or Gore caliber.

Just like Live Aid, Farm Aid, etc. It is NOT possible to have LIBERAL aid, because we will never agree on the definition.

1. Speakers quell the energy. If they must be there, save them for after
the marches.

2. You got it. The March is the thing.
Back in the day, the rallies used to be the destination, NOT the focus.

3. The March( one unified throng of humanity) not the speeches n/t.
