things like universal healthcare, decent schools, well kept infrastructure, and decent government.

I'm really sick of people who complain about getting inadaquete government services but then bitch when their taxes go up to pay for stuff like police officers or roads.

Why don't they just come out clean and admit that they're for every man for themselves and screw everyone else. They should stop pretending that its realistic to provide all of that stuff on the cheap.

1. Exactly. Something for nothing Republican philosophy.
Tax cuts will grow the economy. Wrong. Taxcuts erode our infrastructure and ultimately costs us all money. See New Orleans.

2. it is always the tax cutters
who are the first to complain about reduced services - FOR THEM.

I really believe they have a mental problem that manifests as feeling persecuted by others. Government wastes THEIR money; the poor, disabled and elderly use up THEIR money; the taxes they pay go to other people only; everyone is trying to take their stuff!

It really is time to just to call them on their BS. They are illogical and reactionary.

they should have to be part of the communities which make up America.

In real Democracies - you get what you need (hopefully) and certainly not everything you want. And you need to take pride in the things democracy delivers to those who are not exactly like you.

Otherwise it isn't a democracy.

Atheists who refuse to ever see the world of religion near them - are doing the same thinking. It is not a crime for people different than you - with different needs to exist. The whole point is that your country is made up of different groups and that you share a vision of each cooperating and sharing.

Compromise is how Democracy works. These people who insist on living 'just so' lives are not adults.
