Yesterday I sent the rally website to all the American Legion, VFW and VVA folks I could find in VA (within a couple of hours of D.C.). Only person I heard back from was a hyperventilating liberal, asking me why Dubya's daughters weren't in Iraq. LOL

Pretty hilarious thinking about those 200 freepers with a couple hundred thousand people marching past them. There's a thread with a Washington Post article where they were saying "We are the majority, our voices will not be silenced

Isn't that typically a cry of the minority? Thanks, walldude. :toast:

12. Media thinks its worthwhile. War cheerleader WP enjoys it. |
|
Last night, I watched Bill Maher. Always intriguing; had Lesley Stahl on (aka Ms. Alan Greenspan), a billionaire who expressed moral relativism as only the very rich (very. very) and powerful (very. very) could ever do, with that intelligent, well made up and influential attitude could support. She portrayed herself as a journalist (smugly. sincerely. as she once could honestly do). Maher nailed her. She could only weakly remember challenging FRICKIN' Frank Rizzo (you probably don't know him) from what...1972? Or before? And you expect the media to NOT equate millions desperately opposed to the war with a few hundred whacked out Freepers who actually show up? Have you not seen the movie, Network? It was the friggin' '70s, for God's sake? How many New Orleans "refugees" do you think Lesley Stahl has taken in? That's why they get attention. It is all just a Game, to the wealthy and powerful "journalists" who work for just how many corporate empires? Anyway, Merry Christmas. Damn.

I will catch it later this week, though.

Lesley Stahl is still rich and out of it, but you are right - it's Andrea Mitchell. I have never checked out their "separated at their first million," but perhaps I should. Thanks. Might have to post: Lesley Stahl, Andrea Mitchell: Separated at birth?

23. I'm sorry, you must mean Portia. |
|
1988-1999. Probably could do calculus, if she was pushed. Unidentified mutt; best Frisbie dog ever, but much more than a mere Dog. Still, love all the others, as well, and so many in my past now that I am in my 50s. But, recognize genius and a good heart when I see it in all of them. And I see it more in dogs than I expect to ever see it in Republicans. Big factor in NO with Katrina; I would not have left my pets ever. Either. Think I see that commitment from you and many others here, by the way. And thanks for that.

25. Portia and Bozita would likely have met in some kind of Frisbee ... |
|
... tournament.
She loved that damned Frisbee. Once ran full speed into a tree trunk in pursuit. It knocked her out.
We did the whole emergency visit to the vet thing. Concussion was the verdict.
Funny thing, it never dampened her interest in Frisbees.
NOLA? How little understanding of the deep relationships between humans and their pets. Lotsa folks would never leave them behind. I'm one of them.

21. Mrs. Greenspan (Andrea Mitchell) Was Totally Exposed |
|
I saw a similar thing as you did. Mahrer played to her oversized ego...prepping her with how she stood up to the President of Sudan and was dragged away...but that she wouldn't do the same to the POS in Washington. She hemmed and hawed...then punted with the Rizzo story...and like you, I said "WTF, that was 30 years ago".
She all but admitted that her network career has been strictly to blow and be blown. I know she won't discuss her marriage with Al the Pal (Imus tries all the time), Mahrer didn't even approach the subject (which I wish he had).
Also, Mitchell showed how really ignorant she is of the world outside her beltway bubble. She was just present at a Rove "private party" of friendly jounalists and surely was loaded with all sorts of new talking points. She's also involved in the Plame affair...IIRC, she was subpoenaed as one who took a call from Rove.
