Freep reactions to "Pro-War" Rally in DC.......
Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 04:19 PM by ClintonTyree
someone had to do it, so I thought I'd take one for the team and lower myself enough to visit there....here 'ya go!

The D.C. Chapter, Jimrob, trueblackman and other freepers have done us proud today, on an international scale. We recognise the effort and inspiration that it took to produce such an event. This is a forum for thanks and well deserved Kudos. Me;( yeah, SO much effort to get a taxi to drive all four of you there. I bet you stiffed him on the tip too!)

This was a great experience. I don't even have words. Me;(I do, IT SUCKED!)

In the face of so much loss (gold star parents) and commitment (gold star parents and troops) there are just no words...although I still wonder what the Iraqis were saying..(?) Me;(I KNEW someone would have to get thet in there)

Folks, on the ride down my car broke down. I had just crossed the Delaware bride when my radiator blew. I just made it back it the Jersey shore after limping and going through about 10 gallons of water. My wife had told me via phone what a respectful croud we had, unlike the trash that was there yesterday.

Me;(it's not very hard to be respectful when there's only 50 of you!)

It was an event that lasted hours. A rally for the troops in WashDC. Read this LINK. Good stuff. Me:(that's about the best that can be said, it was an event that lasted hours!)

Fantastic job, FReepers..... As usual! Me;(yeah, fantastic, both of you!)

1. "crossed the Delaware bride?"
I don't want to know what that entails...

But, I like the number of breakdowns Freeptards seem to have on the way to these things over the years. What are they driving? 1948 Buicks? Lots 'o radiator problems!

But, I thought the were all working this Sunday and that's why they didn't make it? Are they all ministers or fast food workers?

9. That's what the Navy guy (who looked like Rerun to me)
Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 04:31 PM by Sydnie
said. He said their crowd was small because people in their movement had JOBS. Well, I wondered just how many of them worked at Walmart .. guess I know the answer now. :sarcasm:

Seriously, they aren't there on a Sunday, their "Gods day of rest" day, because they are working? Knowing that it was coming, wouldn't they have asked for the day off if they could afford to be there?

I couldn't go yesterday (Saturday) because I had to work AND I couldn't afford it in this "wonderful blivet** economy. What's their excuse? They say the economy is great. Hell, the "Right Brothers" even wrote a horrible song about how great the blivet** economic policy is.

It just boggles the mind.

13. On a SUNDAY???
Yeah, they all had to work on Sunday, that's it.

Shit, if their leader can take a 5 month vacation (less 2 days for photo ops), they should be able to take a day for their "noble" cause.

18. Rerun looked like he spent more time in the bunk
than working. Or was that the galley?
He really did an anti racist thing about NO; his brothers in the coast guard never overlooked anybody.

15. You see a lot of that on Fwee Wepubwik where the spell check doesn't
do anything if the word is spelled right, but it's the wrong word.

2. One comment...
If I remember yesterday, no one at the antiwar demonstration called anyone whose kids or loved one who died any names.

Can't say the same for this frowzy crowd at today's "event".

Considering that law enforcement referred to Saturday's gathering as peaceful but loud, I'm not sure what kind of respect he's talking about.

31. Aw, give them a little break
they do have a brain, but it hasn't sent out the memo yet on how to spin a totally failed event, like 'we expect 20,000 patriots but we only got 400' into an incredible success!! You have to give them credit for at least knowing they're supposed to say it was great. They just don't have the all the right words yet. Rush will give them all the words they need tomorrow after he hears from Karl.

They are wondering what the Iraqis are saying? The Iraqis held an anti-war rally also on Saturday, a 'Bush out of Iraq' rally in solidarity with all the other peace marches around the country and the world.

Btw, don't they usually call Iraqis 'ragheads'?

Any other pro-war rallies anywhere in the country or the world?

So, Bush gets $600 for his war, and only about 400 supporters show up after all the hype ~ don't they get it yet? They've been lied to!! The wholeworld is against this war including Iraq.

Freeperitus is the result of only listening to rightwing radio and watching the foreign owned Fox 24/7 for years and years.
