My new song lyrics, in honor of our Brave War President.
Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 08:37 PM by Redstone
Requested by havocmom, to the tune of "Runaround Sue," and with sincere apologies to Dion. Further apologies in advance for the liberties taken with some of the rhymes, but hey, I don't think it's bad for a ten-minute effort.

Snap your fingers now, tap your feet, and sing along with me:

Here's my story, sad but true,
About a boy that I once knew,
He stole my vote then ran around...
We chased him out of Washingtown.

We shoulda known it from the very start,
He always had a chicken heart,
Now listen people what I'm telling you…
That Georgie, he’s a running fool.

With tiny lips and a smirk on his face,
He only feels safe in Condi’s embrace,
But if he hears that Cindy’s due…
That Georgie, he’s a running fool.

He sure likes to jet around,
Hide out in a Colorado town,
Now people let me put you wise…
Cindy shows up, and Georgie he flies.

Here's the moral of the story from the ones who know,
He’s a coward; his excuses blow,
Ask anyone that he ever knew, they'll say…
That Georgie, he’s a running fool.

Redstone

Minor edit for punctuation.

3. I think it was actually something like "Hey, hey, yada heyda
heyda, hey, hey, yada heyda heyda, hey, hey, yada heyda heyda, hey...(baritone voice follows) boom, boom, be doo boo...

The first part sounds an awful lot like an Indian dance chant when you see it written out, doesn't it?

That is one cool song though, both your version and the real one.

I almost busted out an Eagle Dance when I read your post. :)

5. Way cool! Thanks mucho, Redstone.
And I shoulda known wild Wetzelbill would appreciate such a ditty too ;)

That tune has been playing in my head, begging for new lyrics for a couple weeks now, but I have not been in any condition to contact my muse and work on it. Thanks for getting what I haven't been able to do!

Now that my funny bone has been tickled, maybe my sense of humor will kick in again ;)

Along that line, Havocdad just called giving me a heads up about the news story (Yahoo, I'll have to go look & make sure it's been posted on DU) about whistle blower for body armor maker that knowingly made, & sold to the government, vests with possibily fatal problems... and the Secret Service testing them and then ordering them up for the chimp & Pickles.

OK, off to look for the rest of THAT story.

Thanks for getting my week off to a MUCH better start, Redstone! You are a man of many talents, and I hope to stay on your good side! LOL
