2. It was excellent in that Aaron Broussard

the man who wept over the death of his friend's mother stood up to an ambushing by Russert.

Also heard that Maureen Dowd was good, although I didn't see that part on the original broadcast.

3. Russert was desperate

I think he had Karl Rove in his ear, hissing to him "Get the guy to say the FEDERAL government wasn't at fault." That seems to have been Mr Potatohead's main agenda. Broussard was great.

10. I saw the interview but

it was not as bad as I expected from reading some of the posts on DU. Russert was way out of line in replaying the first interview in which Broussard was very emotional. However, Broussard was given ample time to explain his views. I've seen Russert treat people far worse than he treated Broussard, Al Gore and Al Sharpton come to mind. He showed them no respect at all. Tim did appear to be attempting to deflect blame from the feds onto the state and local governments. I thought the discussion with Brooks, Dowd and Friedman was very interesting.
