I could NOT believe the crap I heard russert spew, using bloggers as his source

What a sad, sick, state of affairs the media in this country has become, when they rely on bloggers as their source

1. That's okay, we had to watch the largest protest in years on TRAFFIC CAMS!
How completely fucked up has the world gotten, eh?

3. unbelivable
actually I think the largest protest was during the repuke convention in NY. They didn't cover that either. Something like 500000

2. In their desperation, it looks better than simply making stuff up.
And yes, they are a sad excuse for real reporters.

And by the time this is all over, they have to go.

5. yes, that is true, but the so-called media MUST have a higher standard
otherwise it is no better than hearsay

sources MUST be confirmed

this is lazy journalism

their was a 250000 person protest this weekend, and the reporting of it was notably absent

11. Did Timmy even check whether there was any truth in the statement?
Or was he just trying to put it out there in order to carry water for Bush?

I sure as hell won't take anything Powerline says as gospel without credible verification. Didn't Broussard tell Russert that he was wrong?

I'm embarrassed for my native South Buffalo that Mr. Potatohead comes from there, too.

6. Who else can anybody rely on for information? This is the most
secretive and vindictive government in memory.

7. Fat Timmeh got his fat ass kicked by Broussard. And the "bloggers"...
... are the right-wing thugs at Powerlie and Wuzzadem, none of whom has anything approaching credibility.

Russert's just another right-wing media asshole.

8. I'd say it's an improvement
Since Timmy's previous sources were Republican talking points memos.

9. Credibility
It's amusing isn't it. They have no problem citing bloggers when it supports their agenda but any bloggers who question the current hegemony are marginalised because they have "no credibility".

In this instance though it doesn't really matter who the source is. Russert and his tame bloggers have spectacularly missed the point of Broussard's story.

10. "citing bloggers when it supports their agenda"
Exactly. I didn't see MTP, but isn't it interesting that apparently Russert only looked at nazi bloggers, & not leftist or centrist bloggers. It once against proves wrong the nazi canard about the press being liberal.

13. Wasn't that a pip?
Wonder how many stitches it took to close the bite wounds on Russert's butt?
