15. Yes, done and Thank-you!
Our beloved pets are part of the family. With people who are chronically ill, hospitalized, and otherwise shut-out from society at large, a pet can be a Godsend to ensure their continued mental health.

Of course FEMA should rescue pets right along with their owners. This is so cold ... the thought that people had to leave their pets. I could NOT abandon my pet. I just could NOT. What a horrific situation many people were put in. I hope this policy is changed.

16. There were policies and guidelines that were ignored on the Federal,
State and Local levels.

And the military "commanders" had the option to rescue.

18. done, and I commented on their "first person":
How many times do we hear of pets risking their own lives to save their owners? Do we have a right to keep animals as pets if our morals are so far beneath theirs? We become our pet's family, they are part of our family, and we have no right to betray the love and trust they give us.
