This site swings all over the place in regards to theology, but this article has thoughtful uses of scripture that ought to give fundies who consider themselves more religious than political something to think about...

The gospels are effectively anonymous. No-one knows who wrote them, or when they were written. We have no reason to trust them. So why entrust your life completely to a stranger? Was that really what your parents taught you?
