A black and white gallery from Saturday in DC
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 07:54 AM by ET Awful
Not many pictures, but some good ones :)

Edit: Just to avoid confusion - they aren't my pics :). I just ran across the gallery on Pbase. Sadly I couldn't make it to DC for the rally, just wasn't in the budget.

4. Not mine unfortunately, I couldn't make it.
If I had, I'd still be sorting through all my shots :). I tend to should at least 400 shots (thank goodness for digital) at events like that and it takes me days to sort them all and choose the good ones :).

6. Thanks for this post
Hubby took almost 500 shots on Saturday, he was like a whirling dervish, can't believe we stayed in close contact throughout.

7. Hehehe, I would've been all over the place with the camera
and I probably would've been swearing the whole time at myself for not having a second camera body so I wouldn't have to keep switching lenses :)

10. David scared the bejeebers out of me at the very beginning when he dove in
Some sort of fray was looking like starting and he ditched me to get in the thick of it. The cops were smart though and backed off very quickly. Fortunately for hubby. All I could think was "oh no, his back is in bad enough shape already" He has been a photographer for over thirty years and I don't think he has ever had so many great subjects at one time anywhere. I had his spare digital and I wouldn't have given it up to him w/o a fight!

11. Hehehe. I'm either going to buy another digital SLR body or a compact
digital for those must have shots when I have the longer zoom on the camera and need a close up :)

13. We got back to the hotel and he began to upload the photos
It took a very long time. He had a few newspapers who asked for photos, I hope some get published.

8. I always preferred B & W by far.
I generally used high speed chromogenic film like Kodak T Max 400. It allowed great flashless photos under low lighting conditions. What little picture taking I do now is with digital cameras (sigh!).

But your photos rekindled my abandoned love. What sort of film do you generally use?

9. Not my photos . . . BUT
I generally shoot digital. I don't even own a film camera currently.

I plan on picking up a Nikon film body eventually (so I can use my current lenses, flash, etc.). No big rush, but one day I'll pick up one (hoping to find a higher end model used to get high end features but low end cost) :).

Currently I'm using a Nikon D-70 (and am keeping an eye out for a used D1X at a reasonable price).
