Did anyone watch NBC's TODAY show this morning? Please! |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 08:42 AM by npincus
there was a segment about a La. family whose home was devastated; first, a mom and her son were reuinited with some family members...
I missed the second part of the story (my husband changed VCR setting) when Katie Couric was going to announce a "surprise" for this family.
WHAT WAS THE SURPRISE?
Anybody, please! I was very touched by the story (the mom has an immune disorder and is dying) and was hoping Today had a great gift for them. Please tell me, and give details if you can.
thanks.

9. what did they give to the son? |
|
I am really annoyed at my husband for switching channels while taping. I just wanted to see this segment without having to watch the show.

10. So.. Katie is taking credit for Habitat's work? |
|
Unless the Today show is footing the bill for all the construction costs, including the labor, she's stretching it.

4. I saw them building the family a home whileTracy Chapman sang. |
|
Turned it off after that.
I'm guessing Katie didn't make a smug remark about "house in a box" this a.m.

8. Habitat is building all of these house for homeless families and yet |
|
without getting jobs back, these people won't be able to pay for these houses. The house are not free. They have to both donate time in building other houses and also have to pay back for some of the house through making monthly payments.
