Sessions: Anti-war demonstrators 'Blame America First'

WASHINGTON(AP)_ Support for U.S. troops fighting abroad mixed with anger toward anti-war demonstrators at home as hundreds of people, far fewer than organizers had expected, rallied Sunday on the National Mall just a day after a massive protest against the war in Iraq.

...

''The group who spoke here the other day did not represent the American ideals of freedom, liberty and spreading that around the world,'' Sen. Jeff Sessions, an Alabama Republican, told the crowd. ''I frankly don't know what they represent, other than to blame America first.''

One sign on the mall read ''Cindy Sheehan doesn't speak for me'' and another ''Arrest the traitors''; it listed Sheehan's name first among several people who have spoken against the war.

Call, and instead of complaining, just talk about stupid everyday stuff.

*ring* "Senator Sessions' office, can I help you?"

"I just heard the most amazing thing! Becky got a new car!!" (and stop)

All day long.

14. We know Melissa.
Believe me, we definitely know we've got allies all over the South, even in the reddest of red counties.

Unfortunately, I don't think we're ever going to have enough of you to get assholes like Sessions out of office.

9. Senator, I spent 24 years supporting freedom and liberty
I love my country and our constitution more than any 100+ bunch of ignorant lemmings you can throw together and hand out flags to; and my actions as a Sailor and as a civilian prove it. I saw on an earlier post that two more American Soldiers have been killed in Iraq. No doubt they had your support and the support of all the flag waving assholes who think they are conservative and will do whatever the haters on right wing radio tell them to do. I'd be more than happy to tell you what I represent.

Why haven't they enlisted?

Perhaps we should send enlistment forms to the honorable gentleman.

11. How Ironic
Apparently, the only way to spread American ideals of freedom and liberty around the world is at the point of a gun! "Right" Senator?

Senator Sessions should get a failing grade for competency as a federally elected official. He is either clueless or attempting to further ratchet up the divide, IMO. A U.S. Senator displaying these character attributes and representing a diverse constituency should not have the privilege of voting to enact laws affecting the citizens of this country.

18. Sessions is just another member of
the "Blame Ex-American Presidents First" crowd. It's all the fault of the "Clenis".

How they can wrap their heads around this one is beyond me. They claim that Democrats and liberals "blame America first", yet they've spent their entire existence "blaming former American Presidents first"...a president that I would like to add was our last "legitimately" elected President.

Why does Senator Sessions hate America?
