1. Probably not
But I think it's going to be hard for him to run in 2008 - but he'll probably do it anyway.

11. Sure he'll do it anyway...
and his base will blindly vote for him. They'll just say the liberals were trying to frame him for something he didn't do. After all, the man IS an ethical, conservative Christian, right?

:sarcasm:

23. That's a little simplistic
There will be other people trying to run - who will tar him over his change of mind on the stem cell debate and on this ethics issue. So I don't think he will easily sail into the hearts and minds of his party.

28. Perhaps....
I guess I've gotten jaded after seeing Tom Delay and other "christian conservatives" get away with their unethical, illegal behaviors.

Plus, folks have forgotten that Bush himself did a little insider trading too. Sold some $800,000 worth of Harken stock before it tanked. Guess his daddy's friends covered for him.

5. Did you see what Rahm Emanuel said??
"Bill Frist has this all upside down," said Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., chairman of the House Democrats' campaign committee. "He thought Terri Schiavo could see and his trust was blind."

6. Bush did the same thing with his Harken stock...
Although I believe he was on the Harken board of directors at the time. But he still sold all his stock just before Harken stock crashed. He then "reported" this transaction to the SEC months after he was suppose to. The corporate lawyer indicated that such a move could be viewed as insider trading, but nothing came of it and he's now POTUS.

Remember what Leona Helmsley said...

17. Just remember Bushy 41 was prez at the time of Chimpy's
"indiscretions" with Harken. SEC refused to investigate the president's son. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Same thing now. Frist, DeLay, and all other crooked repugs are safe and sound in DC until 2006.

The repugs are experts at breaking the law and covering it up for their own. It is mother's milk to these guys.

Or any other federal politician in the majority party? Nope.

I wonder how soon the Ethics Committee will be looking at this. <crickets chirping>

18. Don't despair.
This steady drip, drip, drip on the body politic, will eventually take it's toll. Pretty soon, those scum-suckers will start responding in panic. They're still coked to the gills on arrogance, and bound to screw up ... BAD.

13. Frist complied with the law and ethics committee??? What
ethics committee? I thought they stopped having a ethics committee. He will go Scot Free! I hope he abandons his move to be President. The uninformed here in TN will vote for him because he is a "doctor." Doctor equals "good" you know, just like Bush equals a "good Christian man."

26. Uhhh, Isn't the "Ethics Committee" Run By Delay?
...in the light of No Child Left Behind, Clean Air Act, and Healthy Forests...

See, they always do opposites in a Dr Seuss sort of way. What they really mean is that you can have BAD ethics, as long as you are a Republican...

16. Here's what I want to know--
Why is the media not screaming about this? Why are they NOT harping away on the fact that the GOP is as corrupt as the day is long? "The Hammer" is under investigation, now Frist, and of course, the whole Rove business. There is not a single facet of the GOP "leadership" that isn't under some kind of criminal investigation. If this was happening to Dems, the media would be screaming at decibel shattering levels about this. But of course, when it's their good buddies at the GOP, they remain silent. :banghead:
